Ministries at Covenant
Worship Services
Worship services at CURC are held every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Our worship is traditional — it follows the "formula" set forth in Scripture, which is also outlined in the Heidelberg Catechism. Worship is centered around the preaching of God's holy Word and includes the sacraments (baptism and the Lord's Supper), prayer, giving tithes and offerings, and singing Psalms and hymns. (Nursery is provided for infants and toddlers.)
Sunday School and Catechism
During the academic year, Sunday school classes instruct children ages 3 years–2nd grade in the core truths of the Bible. The youth in 3rd–12th grade attend Catechism classes to learn about the deep, beautiful truths of the Reformed faith. An Adult Sunday School Class focuses on one book of the Bible at a time using Study Guides from Reformed Fellowship and other Reformed sources.
Bible Studies
Covenant hosts three Bible studies throughout the week during the academic year. These include Tuesday Night Adult Bible Study, Men's Society, and Ladies' Bible Study.
Young People
The high school aged youth attend Young People's Society. They meet twice a month and enjoy dinner, singing, and a Bible lesson. For five days every summer, they attend the national Reformed Youth Services Convention.
Kingdom Seekers and Cadets
Every other Wednesday night the girls in the congregation meet for Kingdom Seekers and the boys meet for Cadets. This is open to youth grades 3–8. Meetings consist of fellowship, Bible study and craft or project.
Vacation Bible School
Once every year during the summer, the VBS committee plans one week (Monday–Friday) dedicated to teaching children the truths of God's word in a fun way. VBS is for children of the church and community ages 4–12.
